Greetings!

In just a few short years the Internet has changed the way many people communicate. The technology is immediate, cost effective and surprisingly earth-friendly... NO printing... NO postage... NO wasted paper....

We are using this highly flexible technology to serve as a focal point and gathering place. We are creating an international network of like-minded individuals who enjoy sharing their ideas and insights about "simple living" (a.k.a. "voluntary simplicity").

Since 1985 we dreamed of every possible way to share information about the simple living movement with others; however, we did not act upon those dreams until 1994 when we discovered the "web" in its infancy.

Prior to the wide-spread use of the Internet, we simply could not come to terms with the expense (waste of natural resources) required to design, produce and distribute printed materials. We simply couldn't justify contributing to the existing mail order glut in the name of "saving the earth from ourselves."

Now, with the alternative offered by cyberspace you can use The Simple Living Network to connect with others and learn about new books, tools, services and organizations.

We hope someone you know introduced you to our web site. Or, perhaps, you experienced a moment of personal satisfaction and serendipity when you stumbled upon our little spot at the far end of the Internet.

We hope you will visit The Simple Living Network again and again because you really care about making appropriate lifestyle choices and know we can assist in making those decisions in an open, thoughtful, caring and well-organized way.



We have thought long and hard about the services and resources we offer. We work closely with the authors, publishers and like-minded organizations we represent. Our goal is to provide detailed information about everything presented on this web site: who created it, why they created it, how they created it, how you can best use it, and what using it means for the future generations who will inherit this fragile planet.
